Membership Benefits
Member LERCs, their staff and volunteers benefit from Association membership in a variety of ways:
|
Membership Renewal
ALERC membership lasts for one year from the 1st of April until the 31st of March the following year. After the one year period membership must be renewed by the 31st of May. Current members can read the full renewal procedure on the ALERC forum. Non-members can get in touch for more information.
Membership Packages
LERCsAll Local Environmental Records Centres in the UK are encouraged to become members. Membership fees are based on the relative size of the Local Records Centre, the categories being "Developing LERC", "Small LERC", "Medium LERC" and "Large LERC" based upon the number of staff engaged in LERC functions and the stage of LERC development.
|
IndividualsIndividual Membership is only open to those who have previously worked within an LERC and continue to have a positive interest in their development, and to volunteers who are actively working within a LERC.
|
Associates
Associate membership is open to satellite Records Centres, such as Geological Records Centres, where they are working in partnership with their LERC.
