Membership of the Association of Local Environmental Records Centres | ||||||

The Association of Local Environmental Records Centres (ALERC) is an association to represent, and to provide support and advice to, Local Records Centres in the UK. Membership of the association is open to all Local Records Centres (at any stage of development) in the UK. Becoming a member All Local Records Centres in the UK are encouraged to become members. Membership fees are based on the relative size of the Local Records Centre, the categories being "Developing LRC", "Small LRC", "Medium LRC" and "Large LRC" based upon the number of staff engaged in LRC functions and the stage of LRC development. There is an additional category for individual members which is initially confined to a small number of individuals in order to address the practicalities of running ALERC (see Application Form below) On 1st October 2009 ALERC began a launch in which LRCs were asked to become members.
